Haeyong Moon

I was the head projectionist for the film school at the time and Agnès Varda, one of my heroes, came as the Visiting Artist. I was in the Bijou projection booth screening a film print of Cléo from 5 to 7 when she appeared in the dark and introduced herself to me, “Hi, I’m Agnès.” I remember reaching out to grab her hand and my entire body melted. I will forever thank CalArts for that experience.
